Rann Utsav or Rann of Kutch Festival is held every year in the winter season in Gujarat, i.e. between November and February. Rann Utsav in Gujarat is a cultural extravaganza. Day 1
Upon your arrival in Ahmedabad in morning, you will be greeted by our local travel representative at the airport or railway station. You will be transferred to Bhuj via private transfer to begin your Kutch tour package. Stop by Kalo Dungar to take in the panoramic vistas of the Great Rann of Kutch. This is the main highlight on your first day of Rann of Kutch tour package. Check-in at your camp in Kutch for an overnight stay.
Day 2
Enjoy breakfast in your camp after witnessing a magnificent sunrise over the Rann of Kutch. Go for a stroll in the Dhordo village to admire the mud artwork. Pay a visit to Kala Rakshak Museum to learn about local handicraft work made by local artisans. Shop for hand-made products like embroidered clothes, bags, home furnishings, and jewelry. Enjoy lunch in the afternoon at your convenience in between sightseeing tour.
In the afternoon, you can also enjoy a tour of Banni Grasslands Reserve. Return to your camp in the evening for entertaining cultural performances including dance and music. After a lavish dinner of authentic Gujarati cuisine, retire to your camp for an overnight stay.
Day 3
After a hearty breakfast at your campsite, check-out of Kutch. On the last day of your Rann of Kutch holiday packages, you will be transferred back to Ahmedabad to catch your flight or train back home as per the departure schedule.
Rann Utsav bookings should be made in advance as there are limited options for overnight stay in the white desert. kutch museum                                                                                                                                                                             Gujarat’s oldest museum has eclectic and worthwhile displays spanning textiles, weapons, silverware, sculpture, wildlife, geography and dioramas of Kutch tribal costumes and artefacts, with labelling in English and Gujarati. It is home to the largest existing collection of Kshatrapa inscriptions, dating to the 1st century AD, as well as examples of the extinct Kutchi script, which does not exist now. One section of the museum is devoted to the vibrant tribal culture of the region. You can see examples of ancient artifacts, folk arts and crafts and information about tribal communities of Kutch. Museum was founded by Maharao Khengarji in 1877. He wanted to showcase the region’s delightful diversity in craft and local living.

Kutch Desert Wildlife Sanctuary                                                                                                                                            is situated in the Great Rann of Kutch, Kutch district, Gujarat, India, it was declared a sanctuary in February 1986. It is the largest Wildlife Sanctuary in India areawise.
It is one of the largest seasonal saline wetlands having an average water depth between 0.5 and 1.5 metres. By October–November each year, rain water dries up and the entire area turns into saline desert. The sanctuary supports wide variety of water birds and mammalian wildlife.

Dholavira
is the most spectacular IVC site in India and the fifth largest in the subcontinent in terms of areal coverage (Mohenjo Daro 250 hectare (Ha), Harappa 150 Ha, Rakhigarhi 80–105 Ha, Ganeriwala 81 Ha and Dholavira 70 Ha). It is the largest excavated Harappan site in India which can be seen by the tourists.

The Mandvi beach
is a golden-brown sprawl of sand along the southern tip of Kutch district in Gujarat. It lies south of Bhuj, the main junction. The beach lies along the namesake town that was once a thriving port for India. The fort wall of the erstwhile trading hub still runs along the old part of town. The calm beach is a refreshing addition for travelers to the town. Evenings are particularly great with the sunset and the bustle of snack stalls and balloon sellers.

Bhuj
the westernmost city of India, is a treasure trove of heritage and culture. Like few other towns, which have escaped the tourist invasion in India, Bhuj offers to the traveler hospitality hitherto unseen in modern times. Bhuj is known for its small, meandering streets, palaces and temples. It also has the oldest museum in the state of Gujarat. It not only has numerous places of interest within the city, but places (especially villages) around it are very famous for their traditional handicrafts and embroidery.

Cancellations: 

  • At STCPL, we understand that most people cancel their reservation of a tour only due to unavoidable reason/s. Nevertheless, cancellations are costly to administer and involve dedicated staff time and communications costs. So, if any such necessity of cancellation arises, we must be notified of the same in writing.
