Jewels of Rajasthan – Tentative Itinerary 10 Nights/11 Days

Day 1: Jaipur:
Arrival in Jaipur, Pick up from Jaipur Railway Station/Bus Stand/Airport to hotel. Proceed for
sightseeing of Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and City Palace. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.

               
Day 2: Jaipur:
After Breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Jal-mahal, Nahargarh Fort, Amer Fort. Overnight stay
at Hotel in Jaipur.

Day 3: Jaipur to Bikaner:
After breakfast proceed towards Bikaner, sightseeing of Camel Breeding Farm and Deshnoke
Temple. Overnight stay at Bikaner.

Day 4: Bikaner-Jaisalmer:
After breakfast visit Junagarh Fort and proceed towards Jaisalmer and visit Sam Sand Dunes in
the evening, Dinner and Overnight stay in the tent at Jaisalmer.

Day 5: Jaisalmer
After breakfast visit Kuldhara Village, Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon ki Haveli and War Museum.
Overnight stay at Jaisalmer.

Day 6: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
After Breakfast, proceed for Jodhpur, visit Mehrangarh Fort and Overnight stay at Jodhpur.

Day 7: Jodhpur to Mount Abu
After Breakfast, visit Umaid Bhawan Museum, proceed for Mount Abu, in the evening visit Nakki
Lake and Sunset point. Overnight stay at Mount Abu.

Day 8: Mount Abu to Udaipur
After Breakfast, move for sightseeing including Dilwara Temple, Guru-shikhar Temple, Brahma
kumaris Peace Park, proceed to Udaipur, check in into the hotel, Overnight stay at Udaipur.

Day 9: Udaipur
After Breakfast, Proceed towards Eklingji and Haldighati back to Udaipur visit Saheliyon ki Bari
and enjoy a boat ride at Fateh Sagar lake. Overnight stay at Hotel in Udaipur.

Day 10: Udaipur to Pushkar
After Breakfast visit City Palace, proceed for Pushkar, and check in into the hotel. Visit the
Brahma Temple, Pushkar Lake Overnight in the hotel at Pushkar

Day 11: Pushkar to Jaipur
After Breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for Ajmer, visit the Dargah Sharif and
Pushkar, Drop at Jaipur Railway Station/Bus Stand/Airport.

1) Thirumala Venkateswara Temple
One of the holiest and most sacred Hindu pilgrimage temples in the world, the Thirumala Venkateswara Temple stands tall in full glory on the seventh peak, the Venkatachala, of the majestic Tirupati Hills.
A classic example of the ornate and extremely intricate Dravidian style of architecture, the temple attracts a huge number of devotees every year. People travel from faraway places to get a glimpse of the eight-foot tall idol of Lord Venkateswara standing under the magnificent gold-gilded dome Ananda Nilaya Divya Vimana.

2) Papavinasam Teertham
Mere words are insufficient to mark the significance of Papavinasam Teertham. It’s a fervent and strong belief that a dip in the holy waters of Papavinasam waterfalls will cleanse them of all their sins.
Apart from the religious prestige that it holds, a Papavinasam waterfall is a place with resplendent beauty. There are separate dressing rooms for men and women here.

3) Sri Varahaswami Temple
It is believed that Tirumala was to begin with Adi Varaha Kshetra, which means that it was the home of Sri Adi Varaha Swami. It was only later with his permission that Lord Sri Venkateswara took up residence here.That is why it is said that devotees should first offer naivedyam to Sri Adi Varaha Swami, and then visit the Sri Venkateswara Temple.
As per the Atri Samhita (Samurtarchanadhikara), the Varaha avatara is worshipped in three forms including, Adi Varaha, Pralaya Varaha and Yajna Varaha. The idol in Tirumala is that of Adi Varaha.
The temple is located facing the Sri Venkateswara Temple, on the banks of Swami Pushkarini.

4) Kapila Theertham
This is a unique temple in this holy town because this is the only temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in more than a 50-mile radius of the holy temple cities of Tirupati and Tirumala.
This is a huge temple that is located at the front of a mountain cave at the foot of the Tirumala hills. The entrance of the temple has a huge stone statue of a seated bull Nandi (Lord's Shiva's steed).
The Kapileshwar Linga is located near a holy waterfall in Kapila Theertham.
Saint Kapila Maharshi, a Hindu Saint, is believed to have lived and worshipped here in the cave before the idol of Lord Shiva. This gave the name of the shrine, Kapila Theertham.

5) Akasaganga Teertham
This is a waterfall situated close to the main temple thereby gaining an edge over the other holy falls since all the rituals performed in the temple use the water from here.
What gives this place further significance is that it is believed that the lord himself showed this waterfall to the person who used to bring water for his daily poojas.
The water body in itself is a beautiful site and makes for a serene view, particularly in the rainy season.
The holy water is also mentioned in the Vedas and in fact many believe that the Akasaganga Teertham originates from the feet of the deity.

6) Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple
This is the temple of Sri Padmavathi Devi, the consort of Lord Sri Venkateswara. A trip to this temple is a must because it is believed that your visit to Tirumala will be complete only after you have paid your homage at the Sri Padmavathi Devi temple.
The temple is about 5 kilometres away from Tirupati, and there’s a reason why it is located away from the Lord’s temple. Legend has it that the Lord (Sri Maha Vishnu, who later took on the incarnation of Sri Venkateswara) expressed his worship towards the sage, Bhrigu Maharshi, even though the sage had insulted Vishnu.
This enraged his consort, Sri Maha Lakshmi, who went to Patala Loka, where she heard a divine voice stating that a pushkarini was dug on the banks of the river Swarnamukhi. So, she immersed herself here in penance for 12 years. In the 13th year Sri Padmavathi emerged from a golden lotus. It is also said that Goddess Mahalakshmi herself emerged as Sri Padmavathi.

7) Sri Govindarajaswami Temple
One of very significant temples in Tirupati, Sri Govindarajaswami Temple has grand gopuram or gateway, which can be spotted from a distance. Sri Govindaraja Swamy was the brother of Lord Balaji.The presiding deity of the temple is a Sayanamurti (the Lord in a sleeping posture). The temple was consecrated by Saint Ramanujacharya in 1130 AD. Some of the festivals celebrated here every year include the Brahmotsavam in the month of Vaisakha and the annual float festival.

8) Ahobilam            

Ahobilam is located in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The temple consists of nine shrines to Lord Narashimha located around 5 Kms. Ahobilam temple is exhibit superb stone craftsmanship also the history has designed in stone structure.
The tower over sanctum sanctorum of Ahobilam Narasimha temple also called Guhai Vimanam and Pushkarani temple are Bhargava, Pavansasini, Nrisimha, Indra and Gaja Pushkarani.

The main idol of a temple is believed to Svayambu and names as Lord Ahobila Narasimha Swamy and Ugra Narasimha. Here he appears as a fierce aspect. The goddess found in this temple is Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Senjulakshmi.
Lord Srirama, Poet Annam Acharya poet images, ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu are sculptured on temple walls. And Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy has greatly meditated at this place.
Based on legends, the entire story of Narashimha avatar and killing the king Hiranyakashipu is taken place here.
